9:11 PM
As the title suggests today was great I havent laughed so much for a long time :) Clapped till my palms hurt, laughed till my cheeks hurt, and cheered till my throat hurt. Kim Bala Tricia and I walked around the whole school for an hour during our free time to look for teachers and passed them the teacher's day gifts.. man was it tiring. And Ma'am Charlene came back!! :D We were wearing the chains [i refuse to use the word 'dogtags'] she gave us during ROD last year so it was.. fun 8) Talked to her for about half an hour and went up for the concert which was a blast woohoo the teachers in our school are super cool man. Yani did her solo and it was SUPERB YO yay go Yani :)
Everything ended at around 1.40pm and I rushed out of school with Joanna cos visiting hours in most primary schools ended at 3pm grr and 153 was soooo crowded! Whine whine whine reached at around 2.15pm and talked to everyone haha it was fun :) Visited Mrs Chen, and Mrs Lim who got insulted when I asked if she remembered me and said she wasnt that old heheh she reminds me of Ms Chow actually.. she was being grumpy in the morning when we were having our ACES day dance and refused to dance with us hoo.
ANYWAY Nicole Lau is super tall omg when Jovina and I went to talk to Mrs Chen she was like "Yes Nicole is so tall.. when she stands next to Iris the difference is like (does hand actions)" teehee Iris you didnt read that.
-Iris' voice is still as piercing and she's as noisy as anything [she screamed hello into the phone three times when Chloe called me],
-Qiqi's prefect-in-training badge is very.. outstanding haha [oh and she left 7 missed calls on my phone during the teacher's day concert tsk],
-Sharlene tore part of her ligament during basketball and I kept hitting it by accident,
-Jovina was wearing her funny bright yellow waddle shirt as usual,
-Amelia is still crazy and has funkily good complexion,
-Alex apparently knows more sec threes in scgs than I do and started naming half their cohort, asking me if I knew any of them and I think they're all squashers so I dont know them for nuts oh and we shared the rumours we heard about the hci-scgs exchange program haha boys' schools' rumours are so.. extreme. [he's taller than me now wth a few months ago I was still gloating and looking down at him >:(]
-Huien is still beanstalk-y and pretty :D
-Grace made a lot of noise too and we talked about how noisy Esther Poh is heh
-Qiya's small and looks different too!
Thus ends the list of people I spent the whole time there with. I love you guys :) Then the rest went home cos they were tired and Sharlene Huien Jovina Amelia and I went to mos in tp central and stayed there for 3 hours talking about everything under the sun.. and all five of us are in different schools so we had loads to talk about yay it's so fun talking to them.
Honour's Day was fine :) The reception was good heehee we kinda pigged out but AH WELL. After that Kim and I went to buy teacher's day gifts.. were supposed to go to PS at first but her dad said there would be a traffic jam so we ended up going to.. vivo instead like woah I almost fainted when i saw the "To Sentosa" sign.
I just realised I'm lucky to have nice friends and pltnmates in school now.. seems like some schools are so competitive, its actually difficult to find good friends there. Photos!

But going back to school was fun, funny classmates and some pltnmates were shrieking and asking why i was back in school haha. And our camp during the sept hols is cancelled cos guess what, HQ decided they didnt want girls and that guys are easier to control.

Way Back Into LoveHugh Grant and Haley BennettI've been living with a shadow overhead
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I've been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past
I just can't seem to move on
I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need them again someday
I've been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
Oh oh oh
I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I've been searching but i just don't see the signs
I know that it's out there
There's got to be something for my soul somewhere
I've been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I'm open to your suggestions
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end
Oh oh oh
There are moments when I don't know if it's real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I'm hoping you'll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again
You know that I'll be there for you in the end
Oh oh oh
those were the days..
3:46 PM
i found this old file with all my past piano exam reports and man, my grade 1 exam was crazy i got full marks for scales!!! whoosh and then as i slowly flipped... my marks went from 21 to 17 sigh. Now I realise how high the passing mark for all the components are la i really hope i can pass my exam this yearrrrrrrrrr.
Watched 881 with my family yesterday its quite.. I dont know well at least it has more substance than other local films hm half the cinema was crying by the time the show ended.. i had a cheesy hotdog heehee.
Science test tomorrow, I lost all my friggin dna notes ugh thanks lauren for scanning them in for me :) I shall conveniently forget that you named all the files "idioticpatookie" and "laurenrulz" etc.
how now brown cow?
Thursday, August 23, 2007 a happier post :)
8:21 PM
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN!!! ♥im dead tired dsgkb but oh well just came back from windsurfing! Everyone who went today were sec 2s so we all knew one another.. and there were a lot of people from 1se :D Hm anyway my sense of balance is quite off la but it was fun and I was the last person in the whole group to try so my instructor let me stay on for quite awhile.. teehee Bala and Chloe were complaining cos I went on before them and after they were done I was still on it. (A) Nothing bad happened except that the darn toilet didnt have any tissue and I had to - so it was quite.. inconvenient. And Vera was in the situation as me haha.. Kim was wearing her puny Bears Unite shirt again -_- The ahem significance of which she never failed to remind us again..
Oh and I saw Jess yesterday! We were at the bus stop outside school and she was on 171 so we started waving at each other excitedly until the guy sitting next to her turned around and gave me this Wth Get A Life Man look pst killjoy. I miss Jess :) She'll be back from her hci thing on monday haha Vanessa K has actually been doing her homework and is sooo quiet in class, its scary. Oh speaking of buses, I dont think I've complained about the incident a few weeks ago hm anyway I was on my way to school on the bus then these ACS B guys saw my uniform and started saying rude stuff about our school gah BUT all of them decided not to press the bell when the bus was reaching their stop so the whole busload of ACS guys missed their stop HA.
Okay im going for dinner now bye.
Wednesday, August 22, 2007 a depressing post
7:38 PM
oogh it's been quite a terrible week so far, im so tired everyday >:/ Tuesday was the worst day ever I was so sleepy I slept on the bus ride home from the interchange when my house was like 3 stops away so I friggin missed my stop -_- And then I was wallowing in self-pity after that so I refused to take a bus back and decided to walk home instead. Reached home at 4 plus and I took a nap, INTENDING TO WAKE UP AT 5 [i even set two alarm clocks], but noooo I woke up at 9pm, ate my dinner, went back to sleep at 10pm, woke up at 1am again to finish my homework, and then went back to sleep after that till 6am argh.
I have
no life.
Anyway just came back from piano a few hours ago and my piano teacher had decided to demoralize Chongying and I 2 weeks before our exam by telling us our third piece was in the pits, and left us feeling super stressed and irritated at everything and everyone. ugh.
Everyone around me is getting sick! On tuesday [darn someone out there was just set to spite me yesterday] I was all alone in class cos Vanessa K and Bala were absent, and Jess was away from school for the hci exchange program.. then today Cwong didnt come to school cos she's sick too, and I could hear Chongying sniffing outside the room when I was playing in the room today during piano. :( Get well soon people!
AND wait; there's more. Windsurfing's tomorrow and I got my - yesterday argh the world is sooo unfair I always get it at the most inconvenient times: campfeast, adventure camp, p5 camp, kayaking thing last year, first day of annual camp last year.. geez :K
sigh i shall go watch merchant of venice now, hopefully it'll cheer me up.
Monday, August 20, 2007 American Pie - Don Mclean
6:56 PM
A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How that music used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And, maybe, they’d be happy for a while.
But february made me shiver
With every paper I’d deliver.
Bad news on the doorstep;
I couldn’t take one more step.
I can’t remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride,
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music died.
So bye-bye, miss american pie.
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
And them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
Did you write the book of love,
And do you have faith in God above,
If the Bible tells you so?
Do you believe in rock ’n roll,
Can music save your mortal soul,
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?
Well, I know that you’re in love with him
`cause I saw you dancin’ in the gym.
You both kicked off your shoes.
Man, I dig those rhythm and blues.
I was a lonely teenage broncin’ buck
With a pink carnation and a pickup truck,
But I knew I was out of luck
The day the music died.
I started singin’,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
And singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
Now for ten years we’ve been on our own
And moss grows fat on a rollin’ stone,
But that’s not how it used to be.
When the jester sang for the king and queen,
In a coat he borrowed from james dean
And a voice that came from you and me,
Oh, and while the king was looking down,
The jester stole his thorny crown.
The courtroom was adjourned;
No verdict was returned.
And while lennon read a book of marx,
The quartet practiced in the park,
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day the music died.
We were singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
And singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
Helter skelter in a summer swelter.
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter,
Eight miles high and falling fast.
It landed foul on the grass.
The players tried for a forward pass,
With the jester on the sidelines in a cast.
Now the half-time air was sweet perfume
While the sergeants played a marching tune.
We all got up to dance,
Oh, but we never got the chance!
`cause the players tried to take the field;
The marching band refused to yield.
Do you recall what was revealed
The day the music died?
We started singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
And singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
Oh, and there we were all in one place,
A generation lost in space
With no time left to start again.
So come on: jack be nimble, jack be quick!
Jack flash sat on a candlestick
Cause fire is the devil’s only friend.
Oh, and as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage.
No angel born in hell
Could break that satan’s spell.
And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite,
I saw satan laughing with delight
The day the music died
He was singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
And singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news,
But she just smiled and turned away.
I went down to the sacred store
Where I’d heard the music years before,
But the man there said the music wouldn’t play.
And in the streets: the children screamed,
The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed.
But not a word was spoken;
The church bells all were broken.
And the three men I admire most:
The father, son, and the holy ghost,
They caught the last train for the coast
The day the music died.
And they were singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
And them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
They were singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
Them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die."

A year has gone by so quickly; the last parade for the year's already over and well, I guess it left me with mixed feelings. Reality check for all of us I suppose.. I dont know if I'm ready for next year. What they said hit me quite strongly on friday, and I feel like I havent grown since the start of the year. Gathering behind the ncc room and knowing it'll be the last interaction we'll ever have with a whole pltn after parade kinda sucks doesnt it >:/
at least it ended well.. :)
I LOVE YOU ALOT HAZEL!!!!!!!!!!!!

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning disabled
children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would
never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its
dedicated staff, he offered a question:
"When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is
done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other
children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the
natural order of things in my son?"
The audience was stilled by the query.
The father continued. "I believe, that when a child like Shay, physically and
mentally handicapped comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true
human nature presents itself, and it comes, in the way other people treat
that child."Then he told the following story:
Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were
playing baseball. Shay asked,"Do you think they'll let me play?" Shay's
father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their
team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play,
it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be
accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.
Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked if Shay
could play, not expecting much. The boy looked around for guidance and said,
"We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he
can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning."
Shay struggled over to the team's bench put on a team shirt with a broad
smile and his Father had a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart.
The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was
still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove
and played in the right field.
Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in
the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to
him from the stands.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two
outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay
was scheduled to be next at bat. At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and
give away their chance to win the game?
Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but
impossible 'cause Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much
less connect with the ball.
However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing the other
team putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few
steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least be able to make
contact.
The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again
took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch
came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the
pitcher.
The game would now be over, but the pitcher picked up the soft grounder and
could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been
out and that would have been the end of the game. Instead, the pitcher threw
the ball right over the head of the first baseman, out of reach of all team
mates.
Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, "Shay, run to
first! Run to first!" Never in his life had Shay ever ran that far but made
it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.
Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run to second!" Catching his breath, Shay
awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to second
base.
By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the
ball, the smallest guy on their team, who had a chance to be the hero for
his team for the first time. He could have thrown the ball to the
second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions and
he too intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's
head.
Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled
the bases toward home. All were screaming, "Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way
Shay" Shay reached third base, the opposing shortstop ran to help him and
turned him in the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third! Shay,
run to third"
As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams and those watching were on
their feet were screaming, "Shay, run home! Shay ran to home, stepped on the
plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the "grand slam" and won the game
for his team.
That day, said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, the
boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into
this world.
Shay didn't make it to another summer and died that winter, having never
forgotten being the hero and making his Father so happy and coming home and
seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!
AND, NOW A LITTLE FOOTNOTE TO THIS STORY: We all send thousands of jokesthrough the e-mail without a second thought, but when it comes to sendingmessages about life choices, people think twice about sharing. The crude, vulgar, and often obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but publicdiscussion about decency is too often suppressed in our schools andworkplaces. If you're thinking about forwarding this message, chances are that you'reprobably sorting out the people on your address list that aren't the"appropriate" ones to receive this type of message. Well, the person whosent you this believes that we all can make a difference. We all have thousands of opportunities every single day to help realize the"natural order of things." So many seemingly trivial interactions betweentwo people present us with a choice: Do we pass along a little spark of loveand humanity or do we pass up that opportunity to brighten the day of thosewith us the least able, and leave the world a little bit colder in theprocess? A wise man once said every society is judged by how it treats it'sleast fortunate amongst them.***

Walked home from the interchange with Mel Tan today cos she refused to take a bus with me haha man she's so fun to talk to. And she said that MH lives near us! Ho adelia are you jealous 8) And Ms Kim lives opposite her too.. we're surrounded by teachers geez.
Have been reaching home at 3-4pm this few days like woah I feel so free suddenly :D I stepped into a puddle on the way home though ugh so much for keeping my nice new shoes clean >:( Had pe the first period today instead of the last I dont like hip hop!!!! I always end up waving my hands around like some retard cos I cant follow the timing.
Oh yeah I just realised I havent really posted about national day hm went down to the padang with my family to watch the live telecast of the parade through this huge LED screen haha it was channel 5 actually but eh the most important thing was
The Atmosphere, man. Then there were these hulking people who kept waddling in front of the screen so they got screamed at and asked to sit down by others haha sheesh where's the camaraderie among your brothers and sisters yo. The fireworks were quite anti-climax at first cos we saw a few sparks and then there was this 5 sec of silence and everyone went "whaaaaaaaaaat..." but ah the fireworks display was still quite long :) Went to TCC after that and when the waitress asked how we wanted our salmon my stupid sister said "Well done, thank you" haha.
Chongying did my quiz and look what the silly girl wrote:
5) i used to call passerby names then duck down before they can spot me [still doing that]-_-

3:56 PM
the title speaks for itself :)
Farewell party was quite fun haha our pltn can come up with crazy skits in short periods of time: this year's CO night and yesterday's..
Nat was Shylock
Hazel was Jessica
Qiying was Lorenzo
Kim was Octopus Prime
Sj was the little boy looking for her..
stuffed toys
Adelia Valerie and I were the choir
And of course, Lau and Chloe were the narrators :)
I was the director heehee oh well Qiying's slow march with the tree branch was cool, Sj pulled off Hazel's "hair" by accident, Kim squirted her "deodorant" a little too hard and sprayed lemon tea on herself, and Chloe and Lauren collapsed in laughter halfway haha "And the little boy was looking for her tehahahaddies, polahahahar bears.."
Then we went to the beach and Adelia was trying to teach us her lame shit exclamation mark thing when Sir walked past -_- Oh and we played Taboo with part b ncos during interaction :)
One week from today will be Iris' birthday! Then one week later it's Lauren's birthday and another week later it's Qiying's birthday heheh August's such a cool month.
Yay today's family outing day happy national day everyone :D

Bala I'm dedicating this post to you so listen hard okay.Your post almost made me cry you silly girl :)
You and Nana asked me today if I thought you have changed after becoming a prefect.. I answered honestly. Sure, you've changed. One minute you are pulling down your socks in class, and the next minute you're suddenly talking in a prefecty language I wasn't used to at first. Heck, it took me quite a while to figure out what "pm" stood for the other day when you were telling me about Ms Leong and other stuff.
But you've already been a prefect for a few weeks and I guess you're settling in quite nicely now right. Of course you have to be more responsible, get rid of some.. old habits, and be more well, prefecty. It's normal. You accepted this post, and you have to be prepared to make sacrifices. But one thing's for sure - those sacrifices certainly dont include friends. We know how you're feeling, and we know how you're trying so hard not to change, we
understand.
So yes, you can really do this and we believe in you. All of us owe you alot man, still coming for pltn recesses every single day and having so much faith in us although you're not in NCC anymore, helping us for everything in class.. and being a wonderful co pe rep 8) Dont be afraid of changes; as long as you dont lose yourself, everything will be alright. I mean whatever happens, your other two musketeers will still be here right :) If you still need comfort then let me remind you that Jesslyn Chee our dear prefect just announced today that she wanted to go tailor her uniform.. feel better? :D
I LOVE YOU BALA! We wont treat you differently, you wont lose us, and you wont stand alone. If WE can accept the new you, then why can't YOU accept the new you? :)
Sunday, August 05, 2007 Summer sun, something's begun
11:00 AM
The highlight of Friday's parade was probably Staff and 1sg's visit haha we revealed everyone's obsessions and had an especially good time explaining Sj's code names for her obsessions when she and Nat went off somewhere for awhile heehee and some smart person made up an obsession for me pft.
(looks accusingly)
Oh and I think Jo is my partner for almost all the formations haha! :) Yesterday was the Sparks Float Competition thing and hm all the supporters were sec 2s and half of them were prefects so.. yeah but the bazaar was quite fun la Kim and I had 8 dumplings woohoo I love dumplings. But sigh I have a phobia of corn cups now.. I ate 3/4 of it cos stupid Kim insisted that I paid for it so it was mine when we already decided to share it tsk what a lousy friend >:( Haha jk at least I made her stuff some into her mouth. Actually I realised we bought alot of food but spent very little, considering how Mrs Low paid for all the food we bought from the stall set up by sc girls. Hm 8) Then we all bought dragonfly thingums and tried balancing it on all our body parts [ok well only parts of our face] and Ranita could balance it on her nose without leaning backwards! Ranita is Da Man haha.
And yay I can have soba for breakfast lunch and dinner everyday cos there's a new jap fast food restaurant in heartland mall heheh.
blisssssssss~
Wednesday, August 01, 2007 i need plasters for my armpits
8:50 PM
There's always friction when im marching and my armpits always end up red and painful sigh. Hm i hope tomorrow will be a good day man.. today everything seemed so heavy after drills my bag felt exceptionally heavy too :E But ah well Jo was super gross when we were leaving Caltex today ahhhhhhh it was low and long Joey!!! D:
ok bye just wanted to complain about my sore armpits im off to bathe :)
