Went for a biathlon that Encik told us about (it was called dual-thlon actually -_-) last sunday with Siew Jia, Chloe and Bala. There were supposed to be like about 9 people going lah.. then in the end Grace and Natalie's parents didn't allow them to go, and Adelia, Esther, Valerie didn't go because of I dont know what. And we were the youngest there lah! Oh umm Staff and two Ma'ams went also.
Then we were the last to go into Clifford Pier and the last to change out of our clothes and the last to reach the Marina Bay because we were the last to go into Clifford Pier. And Clifford Pier is not like right beside Marina Bay lah.. still have to run about 100m in our SWIMSUIT in public. Oh and we had to wear these rubbery swimming caps or whatever they are called which couldn't fit onto my head
because I'm too big-headed because it was too umm. Rubbery. And the water was so salty lah. Not the seawater-is-salty kind of salty.. is that kind of too-much-rubbish-in-the-river salty.
Then by the time I finished swimming 200m and was climbing up the stairs, my legs were like crap already. Ran back to my 'locker' (which were actually long strips of carpet (?) on the floor that were divided into many columns and then you just dump your stuff on your little box) and put on my clothes (Chloe and Siew Jia were still swimming and it was only after the whole biathlon then we realised we forgot to wait for them to finish swimming before we started running :/) with Bala and then we started running 3km. Haven't even run about 100m then we saw Ma'am running to the finish line already. -_- (but we started swimming later than her cos we were the last batch of people who swam cos we were last to reach Marine Bay :D) Anyway we were supposed to run 1.5 km to this palce and then run 1.5km back.
Oh we were given 100 plus at the 'turning point'. :) And my always very supportive sister told me on saturday night that I would die taking part in the biathlon. Oh yes when we were waiting for our turn to swim at Marina Bay, these two women (I think they are about 20?) were talking to us (the four of us) and asking which school we come from, what cca etc. Then they were so shocked when we said we are from ncc lah.
"We thought SCGS girls all ballet ballet one." -_-
I think they kind of don't believe there IS ncc in SCGS. And then they said, "Oh but surely you all also know how to dance a little right?" Then we sort of gave up talking to them cos they kept going on and on about girls being ballet-y in SCGS and seemed to refuse to believe we were from ncc. Anyway we went to Mr Bean after the whole event to drown ourselves in freezing soya bean because Burger King was still closed (the biathlon started at about 9.15am and ended at like 10am or something -_-). Kailin went too! She went to support us during the biathlon.
Then in the afternoon I went to Takashimaya with my sister and mum cos my sister had to buy work clothes for her internship at PSB that was starting on tuesday. Haha then we went to Metro and spent almost one hour there deciding on whether she should buy grey or black pants.
..
What a waste of time. My second sister was smarter lah.. went to Kino and read books. Oh her eyes were kind of swollen cos she just came back from her kayaking course wearing her contacts so my mum was going, "Quick, quick we must go home earlier so she can take off her contacts!" while telling my sister that the blue blouse was nicer than the black one, and that "Oh no I think the white one is nicer. Nono the blue one is still the nicest... quick, quick we must quickly go home so that er jie can take off her contacts." Then in the end we reached home at around 11pm.
I baked cupcakes at home yesterday! :D So enthu about home econs right. We baked gingerbread (mine was sort of like ginger cake though) during home econs today.
Today has been a tiring day. Three people have decided to withdraw from the stupid chinese talentime today when I'm supposed to see the teacher-in-charge tomorrow about it and hand in the list. Argh.
